NEW GANYMEDE JEWELRY Jewelry played a<br />
prominent role in ancient Greek life, ritual, and death,<br />
used by the affluent to display wealth and prestige. The<br />
<strong>Museum</strong> is home to an impressive group <strong>of</strong> adornments<br />
from the Hellenistic period, known as the Ganymede<br />
jewelry. Within this collection are two pairs <strong>of</strong> gold<br />
fibulae, or pins (330–300 B.C.), with radiating decorative<br />
elements. Our captivating jewelry suite adapts these<br />
