Ecoresinator: modular design<br />

• The <strong>Siempelkamp</strong> blending process can be tailored exactly to a customer’s<br />

plant and the conditions on site.<br />

• Simple transport of the pre-assembled and tested system<br />

• Preliminary work of the customer is minimized: only water, resin, and<br />

power connections are needed; the connection elements are supplied<br />

by siempelkamp.<br />

Successful market position<br />

to date, three of ten sold ecoresinator<br />

blending systems have started operation<br />

for satisfied customers. Many long-term<br />

siempelkamp customers use the opportunity<br />

to upgrade their traditional old blowline<br />

with the ecoresinator. other plant<br />

operators are expressing their trust in<br />

siempelkamp expertise by ordering the<br />

ecoresinator as a component of a complete<br />

new plant. Where are the trust and successful<br />

market position of the ecoresinator<br />

coming from? A glance at the blending<br />

technology of the system explains it.<br />

siempelkamp developed this new optimized<br />

blending process based on the twocomponent<br />

nozzle technology by schlick.<br />

the controlled injection of steam results in<br />

the optimized swirling of the fibers in the<br />

blowline. A fine resin mist coats practically<br />

every fiber and avoids resin spots on the<br />

board. Using the same amounts of resin<br />

and wood, the new blending technology<br />

results in a product with improved technical<br />

properties. this effect can alternatively<br />

be used to reduce the resin and fiber consumption.<br />

Depending on the plant configuration<br />

and product application,<br />

poten tial resin savings of 10 to 20 percent<br />

are possible with the ecoresinator. this<br />

makes this system recommendable for all<br />

MDF plants, especially for the production<br />

of thin MDF and HDF.<br />

investment<br />

the ecoresinator also offers advantages<br />

regarding its investment, assembly, operation,<br />

and maintenance. the system<br />

re quires comparatively lower investment<br />

costs and is installed and operable in a<br />

matter of a few days. Compared to other<br />

mechanical blending systems, the operating<br />

costs are extremely low because no<br />

additional electrical energy is consumed.<br />

this is confirmed by starwood Managing<br />

Director Hüseyin yildiz: “there are<br />

practically no additional operating costs.<br />

We need approx. 75 kg of additional<br />

steam per metric ton of fibers – and that is<br />

it. We need no vast amounts of circulating<br />

air, no additional power, and no additional<br />

cleaning shifts. the ecoresinator was<br />

simply attached to our existing blowline<br />

system – that is all!”
