When installing seals no. 17, apply a light coat of<br />
Molykote 111 on seal lips.<br />
Prior to installation, place bearings no. 15 into a<br />
container filled with oil, previously heated to 75°C<br />
(167°F). This will expand bearings and ease their<br />
installation.<br />
Reinstall counterweights no. 16 using a press and<br />
take care to align index marks previously traced.<br />
Crankshaft and Counterbalance Shaft<br />
787 RFI and 947 DI <strong>Engines</strong><br />
Install crankshaft no. 3 first in crankcase.<br />
After crankshaft installation, install counterbalance<br />
shaft no. 13. Make sure to properly index<br />
crankshaft and counterbalance shaft by gear aligning<br />
marks.<br />
CAUTION: Marks on the crankshaft and counterbalance<br />
shaft must be aligned, otherwise engine<br />
will vibrate and premature wear will occur.<br />

shaft. Make sure they do not interfere with the<br />
crankcase.<br />
