Production Parts Logistics
Our Production Parts Logistics Department (PPLD) has
developed and consistently maintains its network to support low
CO 2 emissions. To tackle CO 2 emissions during transportation
activities, the department focuses on three core aspects :

Reducing Emissions
In FY10 PPLD achieved its environmental performance
target by reducing CO emissions by 5kg per vehicle from

94kg to 89kg.
One of the contributing factors to this reduction was
the increase in the use of shipping vessels. For example,
we used vessels to supply parts from the UK to France
minimising truck travel. This saves 1,700 km a day, reducing
CO emissions by 629 tonnes per annum.
