Playing safe<br />
– the safety of<br />
our bricks<br />
With everything we do to make our products safe,<br />
and the marketing of them appropriate for children,<br />
we live up to our commitment to act where we can in<br />
terms of children’s rights, in support of the Children’s<br />
Rights and Business principles no 5. ‘Ensure<br />
that products and services are safe, and seek to<br />
support children’s rights through them’ and no 6.<br />
‘Use marketing and advertising that respects and<br />
supports children’s rights’.<br />
The overall indicator used to monitor product safety<br />
is the number of product recalls we perform in<br />
a year. Since 2004 we have performed only two<br />
product recalls. Again in <strong>2012</strong> we met our target<br />
of zero product recalls, and this will also be our<br />
target for 2013. In addition, we take the feedback<br />
