The GTR is split in two parts:<br />
- generic OBD requirements (out of booklet scope)<br />
- specific OBD emissions related<br />
The OBD systems will have to:<br />
- detect malfunctions<br />
- indicate their occurrence by means of a malfunction indicator (MI)<br />
- identify the area of these malfunctions<br />
- store this information in computer memory<br />
- communicate this information off-board<br />
It applies to HD diesel fuelled C.I. engine systems<br />
