5.3 Daily values<br />

During the course <strong>of</strong> the day, the <strong>electricity</strong> dem<strong>an</strong>d curve has its lowest point in the<br />

early morning hours <strong>an</strong>d increases steadily until morning, remaining relatively steady<br />

during the day. Afterwards the <strong>electricity</strong> dem<strong>an</strong>d is again steadily decreasing until<br />

the early morning hours.<br />

Photovoltaic <strong>electricity</strong> is almost synchronous with the daily <strong>electricity</strong> dem<strong>an</strong>d as<br />

c<strong>an</strong> be seen in Figure 5.3 <strong>an</strong>d Figure 5.4. Storage needs in this regard are modest.<br />

<strong>The</strong>re<strong>for</strong>e, it is very useful to provide peak <strong>an</strong>d intermediate power <strong>electricity</strong><br />

dem<strong>an</strong>d, which are highest during the central hours <strong>of</strong> the day. (Neupert, 2009;<br />
