lie had by her one child : Laura Lncretia, b. about Jan.,
1856.
yj. John Hyde (1774), born at Poquetannck, Conn., 16
June, 1783, eldest son of Dr. Phinehas Hyde (426) and
Esther Holdrido-e of Mvstic, was a great grandson of Jabez
Hyde (8) of the^third generation. He m. 21 Feb., 1808,
at Mystic, Conn., Lucy Ann Burrows, b. 8 Jan., 1789, at
Groton, daughter of Enoch Burrows and Esther Denison
of Groton. He was a manufacturer, and they settled at
Mystic, where she d. 22 Jan., 1844, and where he d. in
1861.
Their children were :
5199. Joshua Burrows, b. 29 June, 1809, at Mystic. He m. 4 Oct.,
1836, Anna Maria Bamman, daughter of Henry Bamman
and Phebe Thomas of New York. They were living at
Newark, N. J., in 1859, and had six children :
1. John Henry, b. 1 June, 1838, d. 12 July, 1838.
2. Anna Maria, b. 1 June, 1839.
3. Victor, b. 21 May, 1845, d. June, 1849.
4. Lucie Adelle, b. 24 April, 1847.
5. Katherine, b. 25 March, 1850.
6. Walter Lcnvrence, h. 15 April, 1852.
5200. John Jay, b. 15 Feb., 1811, at Mystic. He graduated at
Union college 1834. He was editor of a newspaper at New
London for some time, and in 1859 was living at New York,
unm.
5201. Enoch Burrows, b. 20 Jan., 1815, at Mystic. He d. 4 May,
1835, at New Orleans, unm.
5202. Silas Burrows, b. 27 Sept., 1816, at Mystic, where he d. 7
Aug , 1843, unm.
