After <strong>the</strong> death of liis first wife, Gen. Amos Fowler removed<br />

to W<strong>in</strong>ds<strong>or</strong>, Conn., where he m. jS'ov., 1854, Sarah<br />

Hayden of AV<strong>in</strong>ds<strong>or</strong>, where <strong>the</strong>y were liv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> 1858, and<br />

lie had by her one child : Laura Lncretia, b. about Jan.,<br />

1856.<br />

yj. John <strong>Hyde</strong> (1774), b<strong>or</strong>n at Poquetannck, Conn., 16<br />

June, 1783, eldest son of Dr. Ph<strong>in</strong>eh<strong>as</strong> <strong>Hyde</strong> (426) and<br />

Es<strong>the</strong>r Holdrido-e of Mvstic, w<strong>as</strong> a great grandson of Jabez<br />

<strong>Hyde</strong> (8) of <strong>the</strong>^third generation. He m. 21 Feb., 1808,<br />

at Mystic, Conn., Lucy Ann Burrows, b. 8 Jan., 1789, at<br />

Groton, daughter of Enoch Burrows and Es<strong>the</strong>r Denison<br />

of Groton. He w<strong>as</strong> a manufacturer, and <strong>the</strong>y settled at<br />

Mystic, where she d. 22 Jan., 1844, and where he d. <strong>in</strong><br />

1861.<br />

<strong>The</strong>ir children were :<br />

5199. Joshua Burrows, b. 29 June, 1809, at Mystic. He m. 4 Oct.,<br />

1836, Anna Maria Bamman, daughter of Henry Bamman<br />

and Phebe Thom<strong>as</strong> of New Y<strong>or</strong>k. <strong>The</strong>y were liv<strong>in</strong>g at<br />

Newark, N. J., <strong>in</strong> 1859, and had six children :<br />

1. John Henry, b. 1 June, 1838, d. 12 July, 1838.<br />

2. Anna Maria, b. 1 June, 1839.<br />

3. Vict<strong>or</strong>, b. 21 May, 1845, d. June, 1849.<br />

4. Lucie Adelle, b. 24 April, 1847.<br />

5. Ka<strong>the</strong>r<strong>in</strong>e, b. 25 March, 1850.<br />

6. Walter Lcnvrence, h. 15 April, 1852.<br />

5200. John Jay, b. 15 Feb., 1811, at Mystic. He graduated at<br />

Union college 1834. He w<strong>as</strong> edit<strong>or</strong> of a newspaper at New<br />

London f<strong>or</strong> some time, and <strong>in</strong> 1859 w<strong>as</strong> liv<strong>in</strong>g at New Y<strong>or</strong>k,<br />

unm.<br />

5201. Enoch Burrows, b. 20 Jan., 1815, at Mystic. He d. 4 May,<br />

1835, at New Orleans, unm.<br />

5202. Sil<strong>as</strong> Burrows, b. 27 Sept., 1816, at Mystic, where he d. 7<br />
