5213. Helen Aglice, b. 19 Dec, 1832, at Mystic. She m. M Sept.,
1862, at Princeton, N. J., E. Burrows Brown.
YI. Elisha Denison Hyde (1779), 'born at Mystic,
Conn., 5 I^ov., 1805, sixth sou of Dr. Phinehas Hyde (420)
and Estlier Iloldridge, was a g-reat grandson of Jabez
Hyde (8) of tlie third generation. He m. 19 Aug., 1834,
Anne Margaret Brown of Maysville, Ky., dangliter of
John Brown and Rel^ecca Ferguson. He was an
auctioneer and commission mercliant, and tliey settled
at New Orleans, where they were living in 1859.

VI. Elizabeth Sims (1788), born at Lebanon, Conn.,
about 1785, daughter of Caroline Hyde (428), by her first
husband, George Sims, was a great granddaughter of
Jabez Hyde (8) of the third generation. She m. about
1806, Asa Ga}', born at Lebanon, son of Samuel Gay and
Elizabeth Bailey. He was a farmer, and they settled at
Liberty Hill in Lebanon, Avhere he d. 21 Aug., 1855, and
where she was living in 1859.

5217. George Sims, b. 31 March, 1807, at Lebanon. He ni. Abby
Porter of Columbia. They settled at Lebanon, where he
kept a public house on Liberty Hill, and where he d. 11
June, 1849. They had two children :
1. Henri/ Gordon. 2. Augustm. The latter was an undergraduate
at Brown university in 1859.
5218. Gordon Hyde, b. 8 June, 1809, at Lebanon, where he d. 15
Sept., 1830, unm.
5219. Amos William, b. 3 July, 1814, at Lebanon. He m. Elizabeth
Hastings of Hartford. He was a merchant, and they
were living in New York in 1859. They had two children :
1. Edmund Clarence. 2. Isabel Hastings.
5220. Ambrose Cushman, b. 4 Oct., 1817, at Lebanon. He was in
California in 1859.
5221. Samuel Augustus, b. 27 March, 1820, d. 25 Aug., 1830.
