VI. Gates Peck (1814), born at Norwich, Conn., 27
Feb., 1778, third son of Phinehas Peck and Elizabeth
Barstow (434), was a great grandson of Jabez Hyde (8) of
the third generation. He m. in 1803, at Western, N. Y.,
Lurene Rudd (7106), b. 17 Oct., 1783, second dauo:hter of
Judge Prosper Rudd (2600) and Eliza Lord of Western,
N". Y. He w^as a farmer, and they settled at Rome, N. Y.,
and in 1860, was living at Western, near Delta post-office,
N.Y.
Their children were :
5285. Phinelias Franklin, b. 1805, at Rome. He m. 1836, Hannah
Evans, who died s.jj., and he was living in Michigan in
1860.
5286. Charles R., b. in 1814, at Rome, died same year.
5287. Benjamin R. b. 1816. at Rome. He m. 1855, Frances Baby
of Syracuse, where they were living in 1860, s. p.
5288. Eliza Ann, b. 1807, at Rome. She was living in 1860, and
was unm.
5289. Marietta, b. 1809, at Rome. She m. 1845, Samuel Savary, a
mormon, and removed to Salt Lake city, U. T., where she
was living in 1860, s. p.
5290. Cornelia, b. 1812, at Rome, d. in 1814.
5291. Eloisa Cleopatria, b. 1818, at Rome. She m. 1855, Israel
Williams. They were living in Kansas in 1860, and had
one child : Victoria E., b 1857.
5292. Cleora Fitch, b. 1820, at Rome. She m. 1845, Daniel Smith,
Jun'r. They were living at Rome in 1860, and had three
children :
1. Cassimer Wilmot, b. 1847.
2. Alice Phebe, b. 1851. d. 1853.
3. Ida, b. 1853.
VI. Ambrose Peck (1816), born at ITorwich, Conn., 10
July, 1782, fifth son of Phinehas Peck and Elizabeth
Barstow (434), was a great grandson of Jabez Hyde (8) of
the third generation. He m. 9 Sept., 1810, Eunice Hazen,
b. about 1784. They settled at Franklin, where she d. 1
March, 1843, aged 58 years, and he d. 25 Feb., 1855.
