VI. Mary Rudd (1800), b<strong>or</strong>n at W<strong>in</strong>dliam, Conn., 22<br />

Aug., 1770, second daiigliter of Deacon Jonathan Rudd of<br />

W<strong>in</strong>dham and his first wife, Mary Tracy (431), w<strong>as</strong> a great<br />

granddaughter of Jebez <strong>Hyde</strong> (8) of <strong>the</strong> third generation.<br />

She m. 7 Feb., 1796, Asahel L<strong>or</strong>d, b. 6 Oct., 1767, at N<strong>or</strong>wich,<br />

Conn., son of Deacon Nathan L<strong>or</strong>d and Abigail Ingraham<br />

of N<strong>or</strong>wich, <strong>The</strong>y settled at Leyden, N. Y.,<br />

and removed to Madrid, N. Y., where she d. 22 Dec, 1812,<br />

and he d. 9 April, 1818.<br />

1819, Oliver Spencer, b. 1795, son of Jared Spencer,<br />

and Margaret Wigg<strong>in</strong>s of Haddam, Conn. <strong>The</strong>y settled at<br />

Madrid, and afterwards lived at New Haven, and removed<br />

to Youngstown, N. Y., where he d. 3 May, 1861, aged 65<br />

years and 11 months; and where she w<strong>as</strong> liv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Nov., 1861.<br />

<strong>The</strong>y had six children, <strong>the</strong> four first b<strong>or</strong>n at Madrid :<br />

Fenn, son of Ge<strong>or</strong>ge Fenn and Hannah Knickerbacker<br />

children: Rosalia Jane, b. 2 Oct., 1844; Charles Walste<strong>in</strong>,<br />

b. 6 July, 1846 ; and Herbert Spencer, b. 10 Jan., 1851.<br />

2. Charles Sylvester, b. 18 May, 1822, m. Oct., 1847,<br />

Mary <strong>Hyde</strong>, daughter of Dr. John A. <strong>Hyde</strong> and Sarah<br />

Smith of Youngstown, a great granddaughter of Joseph<br />

<strong>Hyde</strong> of Canterbury and afterwards of Sandy Hill, and his<br />

first wife, Naomi Alderman. <strong>The</strong>y were liv<strong>in</strong>g at Youngstown<br />

<strong>in</strong> 1861, and had one child : Sarah Amelia, b. Nov.,<br />

1850.<br />

4. Elizabeth L<strong>or</strong>d, b. 1828, d. 1839.<br />
