the Mayflower, througli liis granddaug-liter, Alice Bradford,
who was the second wife of Major James Fitcli of
Canterhury, and was widow of the Eev. William Adams
of Dedham (see No. 4250). Major James Fitch of Canterbury,
the ancestor of Lydia Fitch, was the eldest son
of the Rev. James Fitch, the first minister of Norwich,
and his iirst wife, Abigail Whitiicld. Simon Tracy lludcl
and his wife settled at Scotland, Conn., where she d. 3
Dec, 1812.
His children hy her were :
5235. Hezekiali Fitch, b. 81 March, 180G, at Scotland. He was an
iron manufacturer at Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1861, and was a
member of the firm of Knapp & Rudd, and was unm.
5236. William Gale, b. 2 Sept., 18U9, at Scotland, who d. 10
March, 1830, unm.
5237. Mary Tracy, b. 14 Jan., 1804, at Scotland. She m. 30 Nov.,
1825, Earl Woodworth, b. 12 Oct., 1802, at Mansfield, Conn.,
son of Charles Woodworth and Deborah Sargent of Mans-
field. He was a silversmith and jeweler, and they settled
at Springfield, Mass., where they were living in 1861. They
had one child :
Mary Ahhy, b. 21 Oct., 1832, who m. 22 Oct., 1856,
John Allen Amidon, b. 13 Feb., 1822, at Hardwick, Mass. ;
as his second wife. He was a silver plater, and d. 9 Jan.,
1860, without issue by her, and she was living with her
parents in 1861.
He then m. in 1813, Mary Carew, b. 6 June, 1772, at
Norwich, who d. 29 Dec, 1855, at Norwich Town, where
he was living in 1863, at the advanced age of 95 years.
His children hy her were :
5238. George Henry, b. 31 Dec., 1819, at Scotland, d. 15 Nov.,
1820.
5239. Alice Adams, b. 21 May, 1814, at Scotland. She was living
with her fatlxer in 1861, unm.
YI. Jonathan Rudd (1797), born at Windham, Conn.,
16 Aug., 1774, second son of Deacon Jonathan Rudd and
Mary Tracy (431) of Windham, was a great grandson of
Jabez Hyde (8) of the third generation. He m. 1801,
Sarah Johnson, b. 11 Feb., 1774, at Windham. They
settled at Canajoharie, N. Y., and removed to Cherry
Yalley, N. Y., where she d. 17 March, 1853, and where
he was living in 1862.
