Jersey, U. S."
Seven years afterwards he came to America on a visit, and subse-
quently sailed for England, intending to bring his family to the
United States ; but the vessel first went to Charleston, S. C, where
he was attacked by yellow fever and died in August, 1796.
His will,
of which the following is a copy, is recorded in the Registry at
Charleston :
