Nov. 13, 1726, in Leicester, Mass. ; in. 1st, July 19,<br />

1750, Phebe (b. 1727), dau. of John <strong>and</strong> Rebekah<br />

Whittemore ; 2d, Oct. 1, 1775, Mrs. Naomi Kinnicutt,<br />

of Providence, R. I. At the time of <strong>his</strong> first marriage he<br />

lived in Shrewsbury, Mass., but, after the birth of the<br />

eldest child, he removed to Leicester, where the rest of<br />

the children were born. He d. about 1808, at the house<br />

of <strong>his</strong> son Clark, in Leicester.<br />

In 176S, <strong>his</strong> father conveyed to him one-half of <strong>his</strong> farm in Paxton.<br />

Gov. Hutchinson sent to <strong>Ralph</strong> a Captain's commission in the<br />

British Army, bearing date June 17, 1776. T<strong>his</strong> was rejected by<br />

<strong>Ralph</strong> ; but he soon after received a similar commission from Gen.<br />

Washington, <strong>and</strong> served in the American Army during nearly the<br />

whole of the Revolutionary War.<br />

<strong>The</strong> children of <strong>Ralph</strong> <strong>and</strong> Phebe (Whittemore) <strong>Earle</strong><br />

were :<br />
