<strong>of</strong> Physical and Political Geography. Yale<br />

University. President Gilman died at<br />

Loth theoretically and practically,<br />

President Gilman was much inter-<br />

ested in physical, historical and political<br />

science. He published a large number <strong>of</strong><br />

reviews, reports and educational papers<br />

appearing from time to time in such peri-<br />

odicals as '"Xorth American Review,"<br />

"Cyclopedia <strong>of</strong> Political Science," etc. He<br />

Chauncey Bunce Brewster, a lineal de-<br />

scendant <strong>of</strong> Elder William Brewster, <strong>of</strong><br />

Scrooby, England, the spiritual head <strong>of</strong><br />

the Pilgrim Fathers at Plymouth in<br />

America, was born at Windham, Connec-<br />

ticut, September 5, 1848. He was the son<br />

<strong>of</strong> Rev. Joseph Brewster, who at the time<br />

<strong>of</strong> the birth <strong>of</strong> the son was rector <strong>of</strong> the
