<strong>The</strong> diameter <strong>of</strong> the hole is about 1% times the diameter <strong>of</strong> the detonator<br />

which was fired. <strong>The</strong> lead has splashed up around the hole in much the<br />

same fashion as placid water splashes when a pebble is dropped into it.<br />

Note the numerous small splashes on the lead plate where it was struck<br />

by fragments <strong>of</strong> the detonator casing.<br />
