For the supply and read-out of NeuLAND submodules, we foresee a modularized system, connected to each double-plane, see section 5.4 (figure 5.10). The assembly of double planes in the detector housing is described in the next subsection. 5.3.2. Full Detector Setup For the NeuLAND detector two identical detector frames will be produced. Each housing can host all 30 double planes. The second housing serves for the storage of planes during assembly and maintenance and can be used for experiments where NeuLAND is used in two separate parts at different locations. The frames are assembled from ready-made steel parts, mostly hollow profiles, see figure 5.5. The double planes are moved into the housing from the front side, guided by four guide rails, see figure 5.6. The load transmission is provided via two sub-carriers to the two lower guide rails, see the technical details of the sub-carriers in figure 5.7. The hollow structure of the sub-carriers, made from one piece of aluminium, allows at the same time for the guidance of connecting lines from the photomultipliers to the cable boxes.
