Characteristics of the new generator and IPP are given <strong>in</strong> table 8.1. The steps of transmission<br />

expansion plann<strong>in</strong>g are described <strong>in</strong> bellow.<br />

1) Identify<strong>in</strong>g the set of possible strategic scenarios<br />

The follow<strong>in</strong>g scenarios are def<strong>in</strong>ed to cover above non-random uncerta<strong>in</strong>ties:<br />

Scenario 1: Base case<br />

Scenario 2: Base case m<strong>in</strong>us the generator of bus 4<br />

Scenario 3: Base case m<strong>in</strong>us the generator of bus 4 plus the new generator<br />

Scenario 4: Base case m<strong>in</strong>us the generator of bus 4 plus the new IPP<br />

Occurrence degrees of above scenarios are low, high, medium, and high respectively.<br />

2) Suggest<strong>in</strong>g candidates for transmission expansion<br />

PDFs of LMPs are computed for the peak load of plann<strong>in</strong>g horizon of the exist<strong>in</strong>g network at<br />

different scenarios. If between each two buses that have average LMP difference greater than<br />
