I- INTRODUCTION
During the month of november 1991, an induced polari
zation survey was carried out on the Seal River Explorations
Limited property in Lamplugh Twp. by Remy Belanger (Geophysical
contractor). In an attempt to outline stratigraphic horizons of
disseminated sulphides and alteration zones over a five test lines.
II- LOCATION S ACCESSIBILITY
The Seal River property is situated north of highway 101
at the junction of 101 and the Esker Provincial Park road.
From the junction by a gravel road about 5 miles north.
The property covered by the survey consist of 6 claims numbered
as follows: 856397 , 856663 , 856396 , 856666 , 856670 , 856671 .
III- INDUCED POLARIZATION SURVEY
The survey 50 meters spreads n^l to ns4 was carried out
over about 3.8 kilometers of lines. Five lines of survey was
done numbered as follow: 600E, 800E, 1000E, 1300E, 1500B.
Instruments used is Phoenix receiver Turbo V—4 with 1.0 Hz.
frequency measuring the phase in (millirads), transmitter I,P.
T-l Phoenix and a generator of 1.0 Kw. of power.
The data has been plotted on pseudo-sections. The indu
ced polarization method is mainly used to detect disseminated
metallic sulphides. The phase increase is related mainly to con
ductive material like disseminated sulphide grains and the per
centage of disseminated sulphides in the rock.
