ppb Au over 3.99 metres in a strongly pervasive carbonatized and
silicified alteration zone over a width of 22.13 metres. On
section 15B the best values are in hole LR-87-5 assaying 63 ppb
Au over 0.92 metres within a carbonatized and silicified
alteration zone over 11.71 metres.
Seal River Explorations Limited in late 1991 carried out 3.8 line
ferns of induced polarization survey on five test lines. The IP
survey on the Lightning River Property has outlined two
interesting anomalous zones along the North Branch of the Destor-
Porcupine Fault Zone that warrants investigation for pyrite-goldtype-deposits.
Anomaly Mo. l is a one line anomalous I.P. zone
on line 6E from O to IN with moderate phase, metal factor and low
resistivity but open along strike. This may be caused by pyrite
and alteration along a fault. Anomaly No. 2 is an I.P. anomaly
with high phase and high resistivity over a strike length of 800
metres and open. Line 10E is the exception with high metal
factor, phase and low resistivity. This zone may be highly
silicified with pyrite mineralization.
An exploration program to investigate the I.P. anomalies
consisting of prospecting, soil and rock geochemistry and diamond
drilling of two holes totalling 300 metres if warranted is
recommended at a cost of 9 30,000.
