laminae; lots of fines; no organics.<br />
168 - very well sorted, well rounded; high sphericity; whitish, pure, 999c<br />
quartz, medium fine silica s<strong>and</strong> with very fine Precambrian laminae(?); some<br />
fines; no organics.<br />
169 - very well sorted, well rounded; high sphericity; whitish, clean, pure,<br />
9996 quartz, fine to very fine grained silica s<strong>and</strong>, with a few pyrite grains; some<br />
fines; no organics.<br />
170 - well sorted, well rounded; high sphericity; whitish fine to very fine sil<br />
ica s<strong>and</strong>, 999c quartz, with some Precambrian grains; also few coarse quartz<br />
grains; some fines; no organics.<br />
171 -moderately sorted, well rounded; high, some low, sphericity; very fine<br />
to medium silica s<strong>and</strong> with fair number of Precambrian <strong>and</strong> some sulphide<br />
grains; 959e quartz; lots of fines; no organics; ^ mm—carb.O, PC.5, B1.PC.2,<br />
qtz. 0.<br />
173 - very well sorted, well rounded, whitish, fine to fine-medium grained<br />
silica s<strong>and</strong>, with fair number of Precambrian grains, <strong>and</strong> possible brown dolom<br />
ite granules; some sulphide grains, balls of s<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> fines; some fines; no organ<br />
ics; ^ mm—carb.O, PC.2, Bl.PC.l, qtz.O.<br />
174 - poorly sorted, well rounded, medium to medium-coarse silica s<strong>and</strong>,<br />
subangular buff limestone <strong>and</strong> Precambrian pebbles - in s<strong>and</strong> are coarse sul<br />
phide <strong>and</strong> Precambrian grains - some fines, though not much; no organics; ^<br />
mm fraction totally dominated by angular limestone; abundant pebbles <strong>and</strong><br />
granules.<br />
175 - medium sorted, mostly well rounded, very fine to fine or fine-medium<br />
silica s<strong>and</strong>, with some Precambrian grains; fair number of angular buff lime<br />
stone granules <strong>and</strong> coarse s<strong>and</strong>-size grains (note presence of limestone boulder<br />
at this level); lots of fines; no organics; no pebbles or granules.<br />
176 - sorted, well rounded, fine grained silica s<strong>and</strong> with many angular buff<br />
limestone granules <strong>and</strong> pebbles, <strong>and</strong> some Precambrian; also some coarse<br />
quartz granules, angular, <strong>and</strong> Precambrian grains in s<strong>and</strong>; some fines; no or<br />
ganics; ^ mm—carb.42, PC.l, B1.PC.2, qtz.O.<br />
