3. Nicolson/Forster report on shipbuilding dnd textile industry
(Doc. 1-623/79)
The Group agreed to support amendments tabled by Caborn,
Salisch and Seal. It was agreed that if these amendments were
adopted the Group should vote for the report, if they were
rejected the Group will vote against the report. The discussion
on amendments tabled by Spinelli was postponed until the next
meeting. Delars was appointed to speak on behalf of the Group
for 15 minutes. Salisch, Caborn, Seal and rich will also participate
in the debate.

4. Question by Davern and Buchou (Doc.l-613/79) on EEC oils, fats
etc.
The Group accepted the proposal to remOve this item from the
agenda of the plenary session. If, however, the debate still
takes place, Edith Cresson would be Group spokesman (5 minutes) •
5. Joint Debate on the fight against drugs (Doc.88/79) and on
health policy (Doo,147/79)
The Group appointed O'connell and Gredal to speak on the drugs
issue and Krouwel~Vlam and Clwyd to speak on health poliCy.

6. Joint Debate on energy policy
In the absence of translations of resolutions proposed by
Muntingh and Linkohr discussion was postponed until the next
meeting. It was agreed to propose amendments to the Fuchs-Report
(DOc.1_518/79)/1n the event of these being rejected the Group
would vote against this report.
7. Joint Debate on the programme of the Italian Presidency and the
question from the Liberal GrOUp concerning the British share
in the community budget
Carigl was appointed Grou~ spokesman. It was agreed that the

problem of the British contribution to the-community budget
should be raised during the'debate on the commission programme.
