The <strong>Group</strong> agreed to support amendments tabled by Caborn,<br />

Salisch and Seal. It was agreed that if these amendments were<br />

adopted the <strong>Group</strong> should vote for the report, if they were<br />

rejected the <strong>Group</strong> will vote against the report. The discussion<br />

on amendments tabled by Spinelli was postponed until the next<br />

meeting. Delars was appointed to speak on behalf of the <strong>Group</strong><br />

for 15 minutes. Salisch, Caborn, Seal and rich will also participate<br />

in the debate.<br />

etc.<br />

The <strong>Group</strong> accepted the proposal to remOve this item from the<br />

agenda of the plenary session. If, however, the debate still<br />

takes place, Edith Cresson would be <strong>Group</strong> spokesman (5 minutes) •<br />

5. Joint Debate on the fight against drugs (Doc.88/79) and on<br />

health policy (Doo,147/79)<br />

The <strong>Group</strong> appointed O'connell and Gredal to speak on the drugs<br />

issue and Krouwel~Vlam and Clwyd to speak on health poliCy.<br />

6. Joint Debate on energy policy<br />

In the absence of translations of resolutions proposed by<br />

Muntingh and Linkohr discussion was postponed until the next<br />

meeting. It was agreed to propose amendments to the Fuchs-Report<br />

(DOc.1_518/79)/1n the event of these being rejected the <strong>Group</strong><br />

would vote against this report.<br />

7. Joint Debate on the programme of the Italian Presidency and the<br />

question from the Liberal GrOUp concerning the British share<br />

in the community budget<br />

Carigl was appointed Grou~ spokesman. It was agreed that the<br />

problem of the British contribution to the-community budget<br />

should be raised during the'debate on the commission programme.<br />
