The Bureau ot the Iccoptan <strong>Parliament</strong> haa rec~.nded that tho<br />
groupe carry out a detailed etudy of the eo-called 'reqiltration'<br />
prooedure for reSOlutions. Thi, procedur., Vhlch ie applied in<br />
oertain countri.s, involve, the publication in a regiater or the<br />
potting on a noticeboard of motions for reSOlutions tabled by<br />
one or more individual members, ~o May notify other members of<br />
such motion, once they have been Lodged in this ~ay. Other<br />
~~ber. may then sign the resolution. which is not eubmitted<br />
to the .....embly for d18ousBion until a minlmllm number of<br />
siqnatures have been obtained.<br />

At itl cQnltituent meeting of July 1979 the Sooialist Groop<br />
decided to elact for a period o~ one year those member. Who<br />
lIIore to hold poaitiona of reepon.ibility either in the group<br />
or in bodiee of the <strong>European</strong> <strong>Parliament</strong>. The group will<br />
therefore have to hold fresh ele~tiong in June or July of<br />
this year.<br />
7. Secretariat<br />
The rejection of the budget means that inerea.es in staff<br />
and the reorganization of the qroup secretariat cannot be<br />
implemented before ths autumn. The secretariat will therefore<br />
have to continue to·~,. with its increBsed workload using the<br />
pr••ent staff.<br />

asksd to go through the secretariat When tabling questions or at<br />
leeet to .end the latter a COPy. In addition, memb8re Wishing to<br />
table a question concerning another Member State have been aSKed<br />
