On the proposal of Arndt it was agreed to hold a meeting of
the socialist members of the Committees on Budgets and Agriculture
in order to prepare the Group position on the Commission
proposals concerning the British contribution and EEC
agricultural prices.

12. Seeler Report on relations with ASEAN
The need to draw attention to violation of human rights in some
'ASEAN countries was emphasized. Radoux was appointed to speak
on behalf of the Group.
13. Any other business
a) Weber report on radioactive waste (Doc.l-576/79)
Since this report had been substantially amended at the end
of the January plenary session it was agreed that the Group
vote against the report.The chairman deplored the fact that
only 23 members of the GLOUP were present during the vote on
this matter in January.
b) united Nations Conference on the Law of the Sea
The Group accepted the proposal by Ferri to support the Commission

request for urgent procedure on this matter since
the ConferenCe is due to recommence on March the 3rd.
c) Meetin9 with FLO
Mrs. van den Reuvel agreed to give an oral report to the

d) political prisoners in South Africa
The Group decided to table an urgent resolution on this matter.
e) Cresson!sutra resolution concerning the protection of
Community farmers during the uS Embargo on cereal exports
to the USSR
This matter was postponed for consideration at the next meeting.
f) Soviet treatment of dissidents
The Chairman reported th~t the Christian-DemocratiC Group has
tabled a resolution concerning sakharov and other soviet dissidents
and has asked the socialist Group to support, this reso-
lution•
