report before the summer recess. at which time a ~ate for a final debate
could be fixed.
As the question of a 'fair deal for wornen' played a coneiderable part
in the election campaigns of all political parties. the women of Burope
must be made fully aware that the European parliament is discussing their
problems and is eager to take note of their opinions.
A good method of achieving this would be by hearings in the ~uropean
Member States. The ad hoc committee ought immediately to set up a working
party to make preparations for such hearings.
