Contracts with Senior Officers<br />
At the date of reporting, other than normal contracts of employment of service, no<br />
seniors officers, or firms of which the senior officers are members or entities in which<br />
senior officers have substantial interests, had any existing or proposed contracts with<br />
the <strong>Commission</strong> and senior officers.<br />
As part of its governance framework, the <strong>Commission</strong> has in place Policy and<br />
Operational Procedures in relation to Conflicts of Interest. This requires all<br />
employees to declare any perceived, potential or real conflicts of interest as they<br />
arise.<br />
In addition, in accordance with the requirements of the Public Sector Management<br />
Act 1994, the <strong>Commission</strong>’s Policy and Operational Procedures on Outside<br />
Employment requires all employees to seek permission to engage in both paid and<br />
unpaid activities unrelated to their duties. Any conflicts of interest must be identified<br />
and addressed by the applicant in their submission to the Director General. All<br />
applicants must seek approval on at least an annual basis.<br />
