observe while carrying on <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

business as commercial travelers.<br />

On dutiable articles imported as<br />

samples by <strong>the</strong> aforementioned<br />

commercial travelers both parties<br />

shall grant exemption from import<br />

and export duties on condition<br />

that <strong>the</strong> articles shall be<br />

reexported within a pericd <strong>of</strong><br />

six months and that <strong>the</strong>re shall<br />

be no doubt as to <strong>the</strong> identity <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> imported and reexported articles,<br />

it being a matter oi indifference<br />

through what customs house<br />

<strong>the</strong> articles are exported.<br />

In both countries <strong>the</strong> reexportation<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> samples must be<br />

fuaranteed upon importing <strong>the</strong>m<br />

y means <strong>of</strong> a deposit <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

amount <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> customs duties due<br />

or by means <strong>of</strong> a bond.<br />

particular instances.
