Expected achievements<br />

The expected achievements can be listed on 3<br />

groups:<br />

1. Increased capabilities of 13 Regional<br />

Contact Points from Poland, Romania,<br />

Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary,<br />

Turkey<br />

a. better knowledge on specific FP6<br />

issues as result of workshops,<br />

exchange of experience and<br />

fellowships,<br />

b. better tools (including electronic<br />

platform) provision of information<br />

and assistance to the regional<br />

scientific community and companies<br />

c. long term network of contact points<br />

enabling active search for the<br />

researchers and in the region to be<br />

matched with researchers and<br />

companies from Member States<br />

2. Information and assisted provided to<br />

the regions<br />

a. increased awareness on the FP6<br />

priorities and specific calls,<br />

participation rules, stimulation of the<br />

proposal preparation<br />

b. practical training on how to<br />

participate in FP6 for potential<br />

applicants and how to prepare a good<br />

proposal based on based practices<br />

from Member States<br />

c. international contacts between the<br />

researchers with a view of future<br />

partnerships in project consortia –<br />

initiated on the brokerage events,<br />

assisted as a result of fellowship and<br />

later on as the mediation between the<br />

project partners.<br />

3. Better visibility of 13 ACC regions<br />

among European research community<br />

a. information on the research potential<br />

provided to MS contact points and<br />

specific organisations during<br />

fellowships and 13 brokerage events,<br />

b. promotion of the project and its<br />

activities via CORDIS, IGLOO and<br />

NCP network<br />
