Eligibility: Must be a high school senior in<br />
McCreary <strong>County</strong>; have telephone service<br />
with Highland Telephone Cooperative;<br />
submit a typed 500-word, double-spaced<br />
essay on the topic of “Technology for<br />
Telecommunications”; present proof<br />
of enrollment and incurred fees at a<br />
postsecondary school; and use the scholarship<br />
within 1 year of the award. Relatives of<br />
Highland Telephone Cooperative and<br />
Highland Communications Corporation<br />
employees or directors are not eligible.<br />
Students who are home-schooled or attend<br />
a school outside the service area are also<br />
eligible if they receive telephone service<br />
from the cooperative.<br />
