UMWA District 23 Scholarship
Eligibility: Must be graduating from a
Muhlenberg County high school and the
child or legal ward of a UMWA member
in good standing. Includes children of
deceased miners who were in good standing
at the time of their death. Criteria will
include academic achievement, the ability
to succeed, and contribution to school/
community life. Applicant is to provide
ACT/SAT scores, official high school
transcript, and documentation the parent or
legal guardian is a member in good standing
of the UMWA (not more than four months
in arrears with dues).
