yearbook, newspaper, or local newspaper or<br />

another publication. Preference given to a<br />

student pursuing a major in journalism with<br />

plans to enter the newspaper/web/media.<br />

community.” Preference given to a student<br />

who demonstrates leadership and is a Red<br />

essay. Preference given to a student attending<br />

a <strong>Kentucky</strong> college or university and<br />

majoring in agriculture, civil engineering,<br />

construction, or natural science.<br />

Award: $1,000; must maintain a 2.0 GPA in<br />

first semester of college to receive second<br />

semester payment<br />

have completed some community service or<br />

volunteerism during high school years.<br />

Number: 2, 1 male athlete and 1 female<br />

Extra consideration given to personal<br />

circumstances.<br />

Number: 3; 2 for a 3.25–4.0 GPA; 1 for a<br />

2.5–3.24 GPA<br />
