John Deere Scholarship<br />

Eligibility: Must be pursuing a career in<br />

an agricultural-related industry; be an<br />

undergraduate; be no more than 24 years<br />

of age as of September 1 of the application<br />

year; have a 2.85 cumulative GPA; have<br />

an annual household income of less than<br />

$50,000 or be financially independent from<br />

parents; and submit an essay, 2 letters of<br />

recommendation, current official transcript<br />

in the public school pupil transportation<br />

field for the past 5 years; family must have<br />

each of the past 5 tax years; be a graduating<br />

high school senior of a public high school<br />

in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia,<br />

<strong>Kentucky</strong>, Louisiana, Mississippi, North<br />

Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina,<br />

Tennessee, Texas, Virginia or West Virginia;<br />

have at least a 3.0 GPA and plan to attend a<br />

in a travel and tourism- or hospitality-related<br />

program of study; demonstrate a clear focus<br />

on and commitment to tourism; be enrolled at<br />

an accredited 4-year college or university in<br />

the United States; be an entering sophomore,<br />

junior or senior of undergraduate study, or<br />

any year of graduate study, in the fall of application;<br />

and have at least a 3.0 cumulative<br />

GPA. An undergraduate student must have<br />

completed at least 30, 60, or 90 credit hours<br />
