Eligibility: Must be a student whose family<br />

is served by Kenergy Corp. in Breckinridge,<br />

Caldwell, Crittenden, Daviess, Hancock,<br />

Henderson, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon,<br />

McLean, Muhlenberg, Ohio, Union or<br />

Webster <strong>County</strong>; and plan to enroll full-time<br />

at a college, university, technical college or<br />

proprietary trade school. The student and the<br />

student’s parent/guardian served by the coop<br />

must attend the Kenergy annual meeting<br />

to be eligible. <strong>Scholarships</strong> will be drawn at<br />

random from registered names of those in<br />

attendance at the time of drawing.<br />

essay about applicant’s volunteer experience<br />

that relates to environmental awareness,<br />

Fergus Hanson Memorial Scholarship<br />

Eligibility: Must be a resident of <strong>Kentucky</strong><br />

and reside within Lexington Clinic’s<br />

service area (eastern half of <strong>Kentucky</strong>),<br />

earn a high school diploma or equivalent,<br />

demonstrate financial need and promise of<br />

academic achievement, select a career in a<br />

health-related field (other than MD, DMD<br />

or veterinary medicine), plan to work in<br />

central or eastern <strong>Kentucky</strong> upon graduation,<br />

and provide evidence of good character and<br />

willingness to help others. Student must<br />

maintain a 3.0 GPA, continue in school, and<br />

continue to pursue a health-related career to<br />

receive funds for the second semester.<br />
