Klein Oak High School
“Some memories of high school that will linger with me forever happened in the band hall, in the
cafeteria, in the parking lot, and even in the chemistry lab. The memories that I will keep from that
chemistry lab are of my favorite teacher. She is always so kind, generous, knowledgeable, and helpful.
I always feel so at home in her classroom whether I am learning a lesson, decorating her board, taking
a test, working on an Internal Assessment, or making Borax ornaments for Science Club. Specifically,
what she did to impact my education was to simply teach me chemistry. I had a hard time at first but
through her help and guidance and amazing ability to make science fun, I was able to master the
subject, and this boosted my self-confidence in mastering other subjects in school. Mrs. Rushing,
thanks for making chemistry fun and for being my teacher.”
