“Bonjour mes choux! Qui aime la rentrée? Every summer I couldn’t wait to hear these words as the first
day of school approached. I am one of the few people who was lucky enough to study under Madame
Miller for all four years of high school. To tell you the truth, Madame is not only my French teacher;
she is also my English and History teacher as well as my pronunciation coach. But most importantly
she is my life mentor. I cannot express how much it means to me whenever she shows concern for my
well-being. Madame is the quintessence of kindness, intelligence, and sincerity. Even after school, she
takes time out to help us further our knowledge in the French language. Meetings with her for French
Club and French Honor Society will forever be engraved in my memory. Without her jovial anecdotes,
our meetings would be dry and flavorless. I owe a big part of who I am today to her. Merci Madame
pour tout ce que vous avez fait. Vous serez toujours dans mon coeur.”
