According to Burke James and Eleanor / Elizabeth had seven children,<br />
two sons and five daughters, again for clarity some of these are omitted<br />
from Fig. . The children were named James, George, Arabella,<br />
Henrietta, Eleanor, Charlotte and Elizabeth. 315 However parish<br />
registers show a different story:<br />

The first born child seems to have been a daughter, Anna Maria, born in<br />
1747 316 , but see below. She married Edward Poore, of the influential<br />
local family, in 1771, when she was 24. The marriage was witnessed by<br />
her parents 317 . Her marriage agreement 318 was for £3000, £1500 to<br />
her parents and her bridal portion was settled on Anna Maria and her<br />
