commercial airmail cover to England at the Empire Rate by Townsville slogan cancellation of<br />

24APR/1939 being the earliest recorded use of the coil stamps, minor wrinkles, Cat $400 for a coil pair<br />

on cover. [The ACSC doesn't record First Day Covers for the coil stamps. At page 6/70, it is stated that<br />

this stamp was "issued about May 1939"]<br />

74 C B - 3d purple-brown plus War Tax '2½d' on 2d tied to plain cover by 'CROW'S NEST/10DE41/<br />

NSW-AUST' cds BW #196y, endorsed "First day of Issue/..." at upper-left, a few minor tonespots<br />

mainly confined to the reverse, Cat $500+ (the Surcharge is unpriced as a solo franking on First Day<br />
