[Approximately 20 examples recorded, making this one of the world's rarest "Number Ones] 129 F B - Original State of the Dies 1d orange-brown SG 1a [7], margins clear to large at base & left, a little cut-into at top & right, faint crease, light "Butterfly" cancel clear of the Queen's face, Cat £1900. Rodney Perry Certificate (2009) states "...delicate pale shade, rare unused multiple". 1,000 750 1,000 Lot 131 131 C A - Third State of the Die (Framelines Added) 2d grey SG 10, margins just touching to good, just tied by light "Butterfly" '15' of Geelong (b/s of SE30/1850) in blue to small Eliza Annand cover to Melbourne (b/s), Cat £190 x2+. Rodney Perry Certificate (2009) states "Exceptional quality for a Ham printing stamp on cover". [Far superior appearance to Gary Diffen's SG 10 cover from The Grange to Buninyong that sold for £960 at auction in 2007] 1,000 Lot 132 132 W B - Third State of the Dies (Framelines Added) 3d blue SG 11, margins just touching to huge except at upper-right where there is a tiny nick, small thin at base, unused, Cat £1800. Rodney Perry Certificate (2009). [Larger margins than Gary Diffen's very fine strip of 4 that sold for £2640 at auction in 2007] 750 Lot 134 134 G A/(A) - 1d rose SG 23a horizontal pair, margins close to large, the second unit with a "discretely closed tear" (in Rod Perry's words) that in no way detracts from the very fine appearance, Cat £1500++. Ex Pack & Dale-Lichtenstein. Rodney Perry Certificate (2009) states "Two used pairs recorded from the two dozen or so copies of this shade recorded by Kellow". [Gary Diffen's pair - the right-hand unit thinned - sold for £7800 at auction in 2007] 2,000 Lot 135 135 * B - 3d blue SG 24, margins close to large except at upper-left where a little cut-into, a couple of very minor gum-thins, large-part o.g.(!), Cat £800+.
