1958 Trans-Tasman Flight archive of letters & copy letters between James Lyle (designer of the
Australia & New Zealand Joint Issue), Reg Ferguson & the New Zealand Post Office regarding the
Kingsford Smith essays & approved design, die proofs etc, one of which advises Lyle that Australia
had caved-in & agreed to use his design; also a preliminary sketch by Lyle & copies of the photograph
used for the portrait, Lyle's group of newspaper clippings that focus on complaints about design errors,
Lyle's work & blaming the Australian PMG's Department for providing Lyle with inaccurate
photographs. Ex Reg Ferguson & Derrick Ray.
