Without doubt, the most important event this year was the celebration of
the Plataforma Solar’s 25th anniversary.
In fact it was on September 21, 1981 when the SSPS (Small Solar Power
Systems) plant was inaugurated in a ceremony with international repercussion.
This SSPS plant was the result of an effort driven by a consortium of
nine countries under the umbrella of the International Energy Agency: the
United States of America, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Greece, Austria,
Italy, Germany and Spain.
