Discontinuation Across MMSD <strong>School</strong>s<br />
Discontinuation numbers varied by school. Some factors that influence percentage of discontinued<br />
students per school include the level of coverage (full implementation vs. partial implementation), the<br />
years of experience of the reading recovery teacher (8 of 26 reading recovery teachers last year were in<br />
their "training year"), and the core instructional practice in each school (there is a wide range of entry<br />
scores of reading recovery students across schools). See Figure 3 below.<br />
