Picture Options Colour Tone Colour Temp. Digital Noise Filter MPEG Noise Filter Standard 10000K Off Off Colour Tone If the input source is PC, DVI, DisplayPort or HDMI1 (PC connection), HDMI2 (PC connection). •• Off / Cool / Standard / Warm If the input source is AV, Component, HDMI1 or HDMI2. •• Off / Cool / Standard / Warm1 / Warm2 ―― Warm1 or Warm2 will be deactivated when the Picture Mode is Dynamic. ―― Settings can be adjusted and stored for each external device connected to an input on the product. Colour Temp. -- The displayed image may differ depending on the model. Adjust the color temperature (Red/Green/Blue). (Range: 3000K–15000K) ―― This option is available when Colour Tone is set to Off. Digital Noise Filter If the broadcast signal received by your product is weak, you can activate the Digital Noise Filter feature to reduce any static and ghosting that may appear on the screen. •• Off / Low / Medium / High / Auto ―― When the signal is weak, try all the options until the the product displays the best picture. MPEG Noise Filter Reduces MPEG noise to provide improved picture quality. •• Off / Low / Medium / High / Auto 106
Picture Options HDMI Black Level Film Mode Normal Off HDMI Black Level Selects the black level on the screen to adjust the screen depth. •• Normal / Low ―― Available only in HDMI1, HDMI2 and DVI mode (AV Timing : 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p). Motion Plus Dynamic Backlight -- The displayed image may differ depending on the model. Off Off Film Mode This mode is suitable to view movies. Sets the product to automatically sense and process film signals from all sources and adjust the picture for optimum quality. •• Off / Auto1 / Auto2 ―― Available in AV, Component, HDMI1(1080i). or HDMI2(1080i). Motion Plus (for ME55C models only) Removes blur and judder from scenes with larger amounts of rapid movement to provide a clearer picture. The menu names may vary depending on the country. Off : Switches Motion Plus off. Clear : Sets Motion Plus to Clear (suitable for viewing moving images clearly) mode. Standard : Sets Motion Plus to Standard mode. Smooth : Sets Motion Plus to Smooth (suitable for viewing moving images naturally) mode. Custom : Use to reduce the afterimage and judder as much as you want. Demo : Demonstrates Motion Plus (the picture will be displayed on the left half of the screen when Motion Plus is set to On). •• Blur Reduction : Use to reduce the afterimage as much as you want. -- This is only supported if the Motion Plus is set to Custom. •• Judder Reduction : Use to reduce the judder as much as you want. -- This is only supported if the Motion Plus is set to Custom. •• Reset: Restore Motion Plus settings to default values. -- The colour on screen may vary with this option unintentionally. -- Disabled when PIP is set to On. 107
