Tax Return to Cities
JACKSON. MISS.—Plans to block a move
to return five-sixths of the state amusement
Sentences Sell 'Search'
From l^idwe-t Edition
HAWARDEN, IOWA — Harry
Lankhorst
used simple, straightforward language to
score excellent business on "The Search" at
Iris Sioux Theatre. He bought a quarter
page ad in the local paper, used plenty of
white space and with four sentences in three
short paragraphs told his story. It began:
"I would Uke everyone in Hawarden and
territory to see this picture. If you are a'
regular show patron or only see one picture
a year—This is the one!" And ended; "And
after seeing it, if you don't agree with me I
will gladly refund your money."
