Particulars of Nepal Telecom’s Requirements
5 Installation, testing and commissioning of the complete Over The
Air Platform System
5.1 The installation and commissioning of the complete new hardware and
software shall be carried out with minimum disturbance to the service
in operation and the vendor shall make all necessary arrangements
including supply of additional equipment so as not to disturb the
services offered to the existing service
5.2 The vendor shall be fully responsible for timely and proper
installation, testing and commissioning of the entire system
5.3 The vendor shall submit along with the offer a comprehensive
implementation plan to give clear idea as to how the job shall be
carried out without service interruption
5.4 The service interruption during the cut-over of the network shall not
exceed two working day.
5.5 The vendor shall associate Nepal Telecom personnel during
installation, testing and commissioning of the System. The purpose of
engaging Nepal Telecom’s engineers in the installation, testing and
commissioning is to cut down the installation cost as well as to give
them first hand knowledge about the system.
5.6 The Supplier shall engage the experienced people in the installation,
testing and commissioning of the offered system. The Bidder shall
provide bio-data of all personnel who shall be engaged, including their
experiences. Nepal Telecom shall have full authority to reject and ask
the Bidder to arrange experienced personnel if experiences of the
proposed personnel is inadequate.
5.7 The proposed system shall have facility for login from the front-end
and back-end separately.
5.8 The vendor shall provide root-level access to Nepal Telecom for
administration of database system.
6(*) Acceptance
The Supplier shall provide the acceptance test procedure for approval
at least a month before the delivery. Nepal Telecom shall have the
authority to approve or reject the acceptance test procedure and to
include in its discretion any other test in the acceptance test procedure
either to test the requirements within the Nepal Telecom’s Technical
Specification and/or to clarify doubts on the integrity of the
equipment under test. During Acceptance testing the Nepal Telecom’s
Acceptance Test team shall be free to perform additional tests not
included in the approved acceptance test procedure, but within the
Nepal Telecom’s Specification and such additional tests shall be
considered as part of approved acceptance test procedure. The
Supplier shall make necessary arrangements for such test, including
the tools and test equipment required for the tests.
6.1 Provisional Acceptance Test (PAT)
6.1.1 The Acceptance testing of Hardware and each module of application
software shall be carried out as they are delivered, installed and ready
for putting into operation. After satisfactory completion of the
provisional acceptance testing of each subsystem (hardware/software
module), the Provisional Acceptance Certificate shall be issued. The
