Particulars of Nepal Telecom’s Requirements
3) The bidder shall include in the proposal the detailed technical
information, drawings and functional descriptions of the offered
equipment to support the Compliance to Nepal Telecom technical
requirements.

8 Warranty Period
8.1 The one year period following the issuance of Final Acceptance
Certificate (FAC) of the supplied system shall be termed as Warranty
Period.
8.2 The warranty shall cover repair and/or replacement of the hardware
and Software product free of cost to NT. Only genuine items produced
by the original Manufacturer/Developer shall be used for repair or
replacement. The Warranty Period for replacement of Hardware and
Software products shall be identical to the initial warranty period for
the defective Software product unless otherwise specified.
8.3 During the warranty period, the supplier shall also provide hardware
and software support free of cost to NT for the products supplied
under this bid.
8.4 The Supplier represents and warrants that the Software product as
delivered does not and shall not infringe any Intellectual Property
Rights held by any third party and that it has all necessary rights, or at
its sole expense shall have secured in writing all transfers of rights and
other consents necessary to make assignments, licenses and other
transfers of rights of Intellectual Property Rights and warranties set
forth in the contract, and for Nepal Telecom exclusively to own or
exercise all Intellectual Property Rights as provided in the contract
8.5 Warranty Service
The Supplier shall provide the following services free of cost to NT
during the warranty period:
a) Regular monitoring of the performance of the system and
reporting to Nepal Telecom.
b) Provide services of the experts on immediate basis within 48hrs
of reporting incase of major problems affecting all the customers.
c) Provide services of the experts if the resident personnel could not
solve ay other problem within reasonable time.
d) Provide at no additional cost to Nepal Telecom all product
documentation, updates and new software releases within the
warranty period. The updated releases shall be compatible to
system platform, database, application and freeware if used
8.6 The Supplier shall depute experienced personnel for one year to
provide the warranty services mentioned above. The warranty period
shall be extended and payment shall be withheld if the services
mentioned are not provided to the satisfaction of Nepal Telecom. The
warranty period shall be considered successfully completed only if all
the repairs and support issues raised during the period are fully
resolved to the satisfaction of Nepal Telecom.
