Electronics
Certificate III (Painting & Decorating): students
receive advanced training in painting and
decorating. Major studies include: hand tool skills,
scaffolding, use of power tools, occupational
health and safety, plan and document
interpretation, paint application skills, paint types.
Certificate III (Joinery/Shopfitting/Stairbuilding):
apprentices in joinery are involved in planning and
construction of off-site components used in the
building industry including doors, windows
cupboards and stairs. Skill development covers
preparation of plans, cutting schedules and setout
requirements for all aspects of trade.
Certificate II: suitable for people interested in
gaining an apprenticeship or traineeship in the
building industry. This training is the equivalent of
the first two years of part-time apprenticeship
training.
Career opportunities
Diploma: building works supervisor, estimator,
contract administration and builder.
Certificate IV: building practitioner, building works
supervisor, estimator.
Certificate III: employment in the building and
construction industry as a qualified tradesperson.
