TOPIC DESCRIPTION CONTRACT FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION RELATED SERVICES On occasion, it is appropriate for the District to enter into a contract arrangement with parents of students with special education needs. A small percentage of more severely involved special education students have very unique needs that cannot be met entirely by special education employees of IUSD who normally support our school-based programs. It is frequently financially advantageous to the district to have the flexibility to provide these specialized services without the usual employment restrictions associated with education code procedures. All services are provided as required by federal and state mandates or the IEP.
