Sources: Free-listing with 54 women
It was shared by women that most of time
they felt good while sharing the problems
with close friends. Nearly, all of the research
participants expressed that they used to share
their insight feelings and problems with
their close friends while collecting
firewood in jungle and while working in
the fields. In free-listing more than half of
the participants shared that friends or
neighbors generally supported them in
solving problems. On the contrary, 15 out
of 54 said that community people do nothing
to solve the problems.
"Those women who have joined the groups
shared their problems whereas others, who do
household works, hide their feelings. Some share
when they go in the fields and feel relief".
(A woman aged 38 yrs, Brahmin, Literate,
Married from Makawanpur)
"Most of us feel good when we share with our
friends. Women who stay at homes keep their
problems within themselves".
(A woman aged 26 yrs, Brahmin,
Class-9, police, married)
On the other way, one of the participants
shared differently,
"In this community if we share our problems to
others then it will be spread from one to other
very rapidly (ek kan dui kan maidan huncha) and
all will know about my situation. Due to that
reason also I have kept all my feelings with me
thinking that my faith is so, I have taken loan
from this in my past life which I am paying."
