participate in various community based
programs such as meetings, discussions
to develop their confidence.
IMPROVEMENTS IN
POLICY LEVEL
• Rights and protection of women have to
be confirmed in the constitution as well
• Programs should more focus on poor and
deprived women
• There should be the facilities of free
treatment for the women having
psychosocial problems due to armed
conflict
• With out the political stability in the
country it is not possible to ensure the
rights and protection of women so the
political parties should have minimum
consensus to create a suitable
environment to promote women’s
empowerment
INVOLVEMENT IN
INCOME-GENERATING
ACTIVITIES
• Income generating training such as
sewing bags, tailoring should be
provided. Other skills based on women’s
interest and market also should be
provided.
• Adequate wages should be provided to
women as well as men
• Women’s savings and credit groups
should be developed so that women are
able to manage their needs
• Advance levels of skill based training in
various fields should be available
EDUCATIONAL
SUPPORT
• First, basic education is required to do
any kind of work so there should be
literacy classes for women. Formal & non
formal education should be promoted.
EMOTIONAL SUPPORT
• Platforms or space should be provided
to women to share their problems with
their friends. For this, NGOs may
support them
• Local CBOs should be capacitated to
provide skills to solve the problems of
women
• A woman who has lost her husband
should be provided employment;
when women are engaged in income
generating activities it is easier to forget
their problems
• Community members should support
women to get re-married if they have lost
their husbands
• ’Single women, whose husbands have
died should not be abused
• Legal services & justice should be made
available for these affected by conflict.
