Karrinyup-Gwelup Economic Outcomes to Achieve
Outcome 1
A wider range of small local enterprises such as home businesses, corner shops and markets are supported, better meeting the needs of the
community within its Local Area.
Outcome 2
Centres expand their role beyond retail provision, offering a mix of goods, services and meeting places that integrate with supportive surrounding
land uses.
Outcome 3
Evening and entertainment activities enable people to meet and recreate locally both day and night.
Outcome 4
The economic development potential of the area is realised through the City of Stirling and the Karrinyup Regional Centre owners/managers
working together to further integrate the Centre with surrounding land.
Karrinyup-Gwelup Transport and Movement Network Outcomes to Achieve
Outcome 1
The Karrinyup-Gwelup Local Area is a model of sustainability through its sustainable transport behaviour, as people are able to travel across and
through the area on foot, bicycle and by public transport.
Outcome 2
The transport network is safe for all users, with good maintenance, traffic management, streetscapes and building design contributing to people’s
sense of security.
Outcome 3
An integrated transport network results in well connected pedestrian and cycle paths, integration of different modes of transport, and integration of
transport with key locations.
Outcome 4
Parking management, access and safety issues are addressed through major developments and redevelopments within the Local Area.
